Winery : “True to the Fruit”
Nestled at the foot of Wintergreen
Resort and atop the rolling hills of the Rockfish Valley, sits Hill Top
Berry Farm & Winery. At the
forefront of what is now a budding industry, Hill Top was one of the
first wineries in Virginia to offer specialty wines. While many others
have followed suit, Hill Top produces a unique experience for fruit lovers
and historians alike. More than a dozen "True to the Fruit" Virginia
wines and honey mead s adorn the shelves of this cozy, family winery.
“True
to the Fruit” Wine Selection: Blackberry, Raspberry,
Blueberry, Strawberry, Cranberry, Cherry, Apple, Peach, Plum, Pear, and
Grape
Meadery: Historical Honey Meads
Let Hill top guide you back
to a time long ago; taste and learn about the origin of the world’s
oldest alcoholic beverages, known as meads. Savor mead, the drink of
the Vikings, Pyment an old Roman Favorite, or Cyser an apple honey blend
dating back to the middle ages. At Hill Top history will come alive.
Historical Honey Mead Selection: Mead, Cyser, Pyment (Traditional and Modern
Style), Perry, and various Melomels
