Monticello Wine Trail

Established in 1976 by the largest family-held winemaking enterprise in Italy, headquartered in the Veneto since 1821, Barboursville Vineyards continues to demonstrate that Estate-bottled vitis vinifera wines, grown in Virginia, meet the highest international standards. The estate of the Governor of Virginia during the War of 1812, Barboursville is a uniquely welcoming destination, for its array of superb vintages, its casually elegant Palladio Restaurant, affiliated with the Chaine des Rotisseurs and the James Beard Foundation, and for its Landmark plantation Ruins, designed by Thomas Jefferson, set within an expansive, serene private park.
